Knowledge and comprehension of the fundamentals of material science of metallic materials such as the relation betweeen chemical composition, microstructure and properties of metallic materials.
Ability to critically select the appropriate materials for application in civil engineering (fixation elements, reinforcement for concrete structures, high-strength steels)
